Step one is a free consultation
Nothing gets mounted until the design is settled. Somebody walks the property, talks through what you are after, and figures out which lines are worth lighting. The consultation is free and it does not commit you to anything.
Custom design, not a template
Every house is a little different, which is why one plan does not fit every home. The design should work with the house, following the roof edge, the gables and the entry. Businesses get the same treatment across storefronts, entries and building corners.
The install itself
The crew handles all of it. The track is fastened along the roofline in the design, color matched to your trim so it is not the first thing a visitor sees. Wiring gets tucked and routed out of sight, then the system is connected and set up on your phone. Before the crew leaves, you get shown how to run it, so the first night is not a guessing game.
Commercial installations follow the same steps
A commercial job runs on the same process: consultation, design, install. The difference is usually timing. Most businesses would rather the crew work outside of open hours, so the work gets timed around business hours.
What to think about before the consultation
Nothing is required, but a little thought ahead helps. Know which parts of the house you use in the evening. Decide what the everyday setting should do, and say so out loud. And look at your own house after dark once,

Living with the system after install day
Most people play with it for a week. That is fine and expected, and then almost everybody settles into a routine. The everyday setting tends to be simple, and the schedule does the work. The other thing worth setting up early is the schedule itself. A system that comes on and goes off without anybody thinking about it gets used. There is very little you have to do on install day. Clear access to the roofline and the outlets helps: an unlocked gate, a clear driveway, pets in the house. Beyond that you can go about your day.
After the install
After that, you pick your everyday setting and forget about it. The everyday setting is usually a simple warm white, and the color gets used for holidays and birthdays. EverCrest Lighting does permanent lighting installation for residential and commercial properties across Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina out of Greenville. For traditional holiday lighting they also handle takedown and off season storage. To start, call (864) 252-1732 or email
